Mark Covington
ZONE 1

Founder/Chairman/Director of the Georgia Street Community Collective. Recipient of the 2015 “Golden Beet Award” in the nonprofit category for his contributions to the development and maintenance of a sustainable, localized food system in Detroit.

Norma Foster
ZONE 2

Originally from Northwest Detroit, Norma moved to Regent Park almost 20 years ago when she got married.  Her vision for residents in the neighborhoods is to continue to band together and keep pushing out the evildoers who want to destroy our blocks.

Diana Morris

An urban gardener and DPS grad working to promote systems of change, creativity, art, music, and safe spaces for all to enjoy and
gather together.

ZONE 5

Grew up in the city of Detroit, graduate of Osborn High School and Wayne State University. Retiree from the State of Michigan, worked for DHS, UIA, and special projects for Governer Engler. “I love getting involved with the community, providing support to everyone, and making a change.”

Paul Martinsky

St. Cyril High School graduate, retired DPS elementary school teacher and current part-time Hamtramck Public Schools teacher. Member of Ryan/7 Mile Community Association from Conant to Mound, 8 Mile to Davison/6 Mile and covering parts of zip codes 48234 and 48212.

 

Ronald Nemerski
ZONE 7

Pershing graduate. Member of We Care, Inc. Board member of Nortown CDC. A veteran and medal winner in the National Veterans Golden Age Games.

Roz Harris
ZONE 8

Has lived on E. Outer Drive since 1986; and is retired from GM.  Her husband Adrian, also retired, is Pastor of the Church of Universal Truth (non denominational).  Roz loves to do neighborhood volunteer work, loves to travel and serves as Vice President of East Outer Drive Block Club Association.  "Thank you, Create NED for the opportunity to serve my community as an Advisory Board member."

Ronald D. Jacobs Jr.
ZONE 9

Graduate of Davis Aerospace Technical HS and College of Creative Studies on an academic/talent scholarship. “Before going abroad, I sought opportunities to utilize my technical and industrial design experience to uplift my community and grow my career at home.”
